What is Enterprise Europe Network?
Enterprise Europe Network- EEN
Enterprise Europe Network was launched in 2008 by the Commission’s Directorate-General for Enterprise and Industry, with aim to improve utilization of SMEs potential in EU market.
- STPRC is a partner in Serbian consortium of Enterprise Europe Network.
Enterprise Europe Network is the biggest European network for business support which offers help to small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in order to improve their business opportunities in the EU and beyond. More than 50 countries are the members of this Network.
In Serbia European Enterprise Network was founded in 2009.
EEN in Serbia is now co-financed under “COSME” – an EU funding programme designed to encourage the competitiveness of European enterprises.
The services are tailored to SMEs but are also available to all other businesses, universities and research centres.
Our activities within EEN are to:
- provide information about opportunities for establishing international business cooperation,
- offer brokerage services regarding technology and knowledge transfer
- help companies to promote their business and to find partners in foreign markets,
- encourage SMEs to be innovative in order improve their competitiveness,
- ensure support to SMEs to take part in EU framework programmes.
In order to provide information to our client we:
- Visit SMEs and deliver presentations to companies all over the Serbia,
- Organize workshops and seminars in Institute Mihajlo Pupin.
Business and technology cooperation
- Baza poslovne saradnje (BCD – Business Cooperation Database)If you need a certain technology or other innovation to complete your business or a business application for your technology, the Network can help. Using Europe’s largest database of cutting-edge technologies, containing more than 23,000 profiles, the Network brings together research and commercial applications. The database is updated with new profiles on a weekly basis. The world’s largest business cooperation database . Around 600 member organisations, including chambers of commerce and industry, technology centres, universities and development agencies works on connection companies from business data base. The companies are presented without their name, and all company’s data are secured
How to use this service?
- Fill in business profile form business offer or business request form
- We suggest you to fill out form in English because of occupational terminology, but Serbian is also acceptable.
- Filled form should be sent to our e-mail address: een@pupin.rs
- Your business profile will be stored to EEN base. When interest from any foreign company arises we will inform you. We will be in looking for suitable profile for you and inform you periodically.
- When partnership potential is recognized among two companies, their contact details will be exchanged by EEN staff and direct communication can start.
International business meetings
- Matchmaking events across Europe where you can meet potential business partners in person by pre-scheduled quick appointments (business 2 business B2B).
- Companies should do registration in advance. The list of participants and their profiles are available at the Internet page of the event.
- Companies should choose meeting partners. EEN staff provides logistics support.
- Matchmaking events often take place at international fairs. On that way travel and accommodation costs will be decreased.
How to use this service?

- If you are willing to participate to any of these events, please inform us.
- Fill in registration form on web page of the event,
- Follow registration of the companies on web page of the event and mark companies that you are interested in.
- You will receive meeting schedule before the event
- EEN staff will provide you support in all registration and participation stages.
Visit to the companies abroad:
- The main aim of abroad visits is creation of business connections and transfer of knowledge, experience and technology. With the same aim the visits could be organized in Serbia for foreign companies.
- Beside the conversation with companies representatives, on sight visits of production capacities could be organized.
- EEN staff will provide logistical support during the company visits.
How to use this service:
- Interested companies should express the initiative to visit to the company from particular sector.
- EEN staff will explore possibility of visits organisation.
Requirement for service use:
- EEN services are free of charge,
- The participation fees abroad are determined by country which is the organizer of the event.
- Companies should cover transportation and accommodation by their own.
Technology transfer
In order to promote innovation and internationalization innovation from Serbian companies and Research institution, we will help you in creating technological profiles. Technology matchmaking is available through data base of technological profiles.
The cooperation activities follow procedure:
- If you would like to offer your technology, you should fill in template- – BBS Form (TECHNOLOGY OFFER Form)
- We will help you to fill in TECHNOLOGY OFFER FORM
- We will support you during the process of finding partners in requested countries (you have marked them)
- If you would like to find new technology that could improve your business you should fill in TECHNOLOGY REQUEST Form.

Our aim is to encourage companies, current and potential clients, (especially SMEs) to internationalize their business, in order to improve their competitiveness and innovativeness.

The official site of Serbian consortium www.een.rs is regularly updated with information not only about consortium activities, but with useful information for our clients about opportunities for research, technical or commercial cooperation with companies from EU and wider.
Institute Mihajlo Pupin signed in 2009 memorandum of understanding with Association of business women in Serbia (www.poslovnezene.org.rs) in such a way many enterprises member of ABW ware provided with EEN services which result with more than 10 partnership agreements between IMP and EEN partners from other countries
One of outcomes is that IMP’s EEN consultant is now chair of newly established EEN sector group for women entrepreneurship.
