Povodom održavanja jubilarne 60-te Konferencije ETRAN-a, Predsedništvo Društva za ETRAN  je, u skladu sa Statutom, na sednici od 01. 06. 2016. godine, donelo odluku o dodeli prigodnih priznanja zaslužnim pojedincima i organizacijama.

Institut „Mihajlo Pupin“ je, kao kolektivni član ETRAN-a u periodu 2006.-2016. godine,  ostvario veliki doprinos razvoju stručnih sekcija Društva, te mu je  Predsedništvo ETRAN-a dodelilo VELIKU POVELJU u znak priznanja za izuzetan doprinos ostvarivanju ciljeva i zadataka  ETRAN-a. Priznanje je uručeno predstavniku Instituta na Skupštini Društva za ETRAN u utorak, 14.06.2016. godine u kongresnom centru hotela MONA na Zlatiboru.
