„Hi,

My name is Shlok Agarwal and I am from India. I am a Mechatronics Engineering graduate from Manipal Institute of Technology (2010-14). I spent 7 weeks working at the Robotics Laboratory of Mihajlo Pupin Institute.

I arrived in Belgrade on 6th July 2014. First impression of the city was “WOW”, Could not have expected anything more. The city is beautiful and the people are kind. It has well connected public transport.

When I started work the next day, I met some very experienced people working in this field.Everyone was polite and friendly. I was new to the field of humanoid robots. So Ibegan my project by studying the kinematics and dynamics of humanoid robots. The institute provided me a good platform to learn and grow at my own pace. The timings for work were flexible so I was working on times which I found most comfortable.

At the end of my internship I was able to make some kinematic models for walking.  Also I could get some hands-on experience with the NAO Robot in the laboratory. It was a user friendly platform and it was great to see it sense and move.

The people at work were supportive and helpful. The Department provided me Free Lunch in the Institute canteen. Being a vegetarian, it was a little difficult to manage meals, but the people in the canteen were always kind and made something separately for me.“

„My name is Antonio Jesús, I am studying computer engineering in the university of Alicante in Spain, I was working in the institute Mihajlo Pupin in Belgrade during two months and I have to say that is one of the best experience I have lived ever.

Before I came here, I didn’t know nothing about Serbia, but now I can say that is one of the best place to travel, safety, nice gastronomy, cheap, good people… and some beautiful places like Kalemegdan, Tara mountain, Avala mountain, Republic Square…

In my job I was creating a kind of pedometer programming in android for a project of the institute. Before I didn’t know too much about program in android, but after this I have developed how to use all the sensors of the smartphones and I improved a lot my programme level, the people of the company help me every time I needed and teach me a lot of things.

Besides, I must say that I’m fatter than before come here, the food in the company’s canteen is delicious.

I am really grateful for the fact I had the opportunity of work in the Institute Mihajo Pupin.“

„First, I want to thank all the employees at IMP whom I had the pleasure to meet and talk to over these past three months; but especially, I want to thank Iva and Valentina for helping me and making me feel welcome in this Institute.

This has been a great personal as well as professional experience. I have learned and gained a lot from this internship. I am glad and honored to have worked as an intern at IMP.

Thank you very much for everything and I hope to see you all again.

Esto no es un adiós sino un hasta luego, Hvala još jednom.“
